Async Standups

Replace the daily standup meeting with async submissions. Each team member takes 2 minutes to submit. GrowthOS synthesizes everything into one AI summary — no meeting needed.

How it works

1.

At 9:30 AM IST every weekday, GrowthOS sends each team member a reminder — in-app notification and a Slack DM (if Slack is connected). The Slack DM includes an "Submit via Slack" button that opens an interactive modal directly in Slack.

2.

Each person fills in three fields: Yesterday (what did you complete), Today (what will you work on), Blockers (anything blocking you). Submissions can be scoped to a specific project or org-wide.

3.

Once submissions are in, any admin can click AI Summary. GrowthOS collects all submissions for the day, merges them with task activity data (in-progress, blocked, overdue counts), and generates three outputs: a team summary, a management summary, and a risk report.

4.

Any blockers mentioned in submissions are automatically extracted and saved as StandupBlocker records — visible in the Blockers view for managers to resolve.

Standup view

The Standups page shows all submissions for today — who submitted and who hasn't. You see each person's full submission. The submission counter "X of Y submitted" helps managers know when to trigger the AI summary.

Editing a submission

Team members can update their standup submission any time on the same day. Late submissions are still accepted and included in the AI summary on demand.

Blockers pipeline

Blockers mentioned in standups feed into the Blockers section:

Morning briefing

Separate from standups, every team member gets a Morning Briefing at 8:00 AM IST — a personal digest of tasks due today, overdue tasks, and blocked tasks. Delivered as a branded email and in-app notification. Toggle it off in your notification preferences if you don't want it.
